We were very excited to get to have a little get-away as a part of Spring Break this year - Neal really wants us to do something as a family over Spring Break now that Meredith really gets to experience it! So, our friends, the Steeles invited us out to "The Land" - a home away from home for his family! The first day we were there, they took us out to The Gator Farm! So much fun!
Right as we went in the entrance, we got to see our first gator! A little guy who the kids were a bit unsure of! The lady offered to let Jillian name him to warm her up to the alligator. She decided to name him Jerry. But she was still keeping her distance!
Meredith was the only one of us brave enough to hang out here!
After visiting some of the mammals (raccoons, deer, bunnies, and squirrels) we just enjoyed the beautiful day!
Jillian also loved feeding the ducks with Duckie!
We, of course, took some time to check out what Jerry might look like years from now.
Jillian even got to spray Jerry with water to keep him wet.
And everyone warmed up to him enough to get closer and even pet him!
This guy was super safe - you could even ride on him!
