One More Land Day

Before heading home to City Life, we did some more exploring!

Sweet Duckie took all the kids out to explore and even let the kids take turns driving!
We fed the fish in Lake Grady
 Jillian being silly with Hayes
 The kiddos on the swing

A little fishing - no luck on catching anything, but it was more than likely due to the fact that the kids threw an entire forest's worth of pine cones and sticks into the lake while Taylor got the poles ready.  Oh well!

Lots of fun on the hammock

And even if we have to leave, we can still have fun on the way out!

Exploring the Land

We got to do a little exploring of the Steele's land the first night before dinner, but we really got a great taste of it after we got home from the Gator Park.  And that is when other friends started to show up, too, making it even more fun!

The girls, posing outside the house as we waited for our friends
First big adventure - Golf Cart rides with the Milliorn boys!
Checking out the "Turtle Graveyard"

And Mr. Taylor was a charter boat operator - Meredith got to take a turn with Duckie

I got to ride with Jillian, Cooper and Taylor.
Meredy tried her hand at fishing.
This was Neal's idea of exploring!

We cooked our dinner (and dessert!) over the campfire!

 yum!

Neal loved reading the local paper  - everyone got a kick out of the police reports, especially!

We got all the kiddos to bathe and then they all watched a movie before bed.  Amazingly, everyone did great with bedtime - don't think all the exploring hurt too much!

Gator Farm

We were very excited to get to have a little get-away as a part of Spring Break this year - Neal really wants us to do something as a family over Spring Break now that Meredith really gets to experience it!  So, our friends, the Steeles invited us out to "The Land" - a home away from home for his family!  The first day we were there, they took us out to The Gator Farm!  So much fun!

Right as we went in the entrance, we got to see our first gator!  A little guy who the kids were a bit unsure of!  The lady offered to let Jillian name him to warm her up to the alligator.  She decided to name him Jerry.  But she was still keeping her distance!

Meredith was the only one of us brave enough to hang out here!

After visiting some of the mammals (raccoons, deer, bunnies, and squirrels) we just enjoyed the beautiful day!
Jillian also loved feeding the ducks with Duckie!
We, of course, took some time to check out what Jerry might look like years from now.
We headed back inside because the girls wanted to check on Jerry again!
Jillian even got to spray Jerry with water to keep him wet.
And everyone warmed up to him enough to get closer and even pet him!

This guy was super safe - you could even ride on him!

God Made Me

Jillian's class did an adorable little PE program - her class did a little song where they got to do tons of little moves as they went around in the circle (galloping, tip toeing, etc) and then they pretended to ride a bike!  She was super serious about doing everything and did a cute job!
