We are Thankful

We have had an amazing year and were excited to get to celebrate all of our blessings with our families. We spent Thanksgiving Day with my family and the Sook family for a big dinner and some football watching. This weekend, we rounded out Thanksgiving by celebrating with Neal's family.

Jillian loved playing before dinner, I don't think Sandy and Laura minded either.

Jillian was ready for dinner - she was a little disappointed hers came from the same plastic containers as always, but she was happy to fill her tummy!
Meredith was thrilled to have a kids table all to herself! She had a spot at the big table, but she wanted to eat at her princess table instead. The turkey hit and Meredith and Victoria took much needed naps together.

Stay at Home Daddy Week

This past week our whole family has been blessed by Neal being able to take an extended Thanksgiving break, and because Neal wanted to really experience day-to-day life with us, he planned out fun activities to fill our days together. We started off with an activity he was so excited to tackle with Meredith - an overnight campout in a homemade tent! They hung sheets from our TV, so they hung out all night watching movies and eating cookies, then slept through the night in the tent. Meredith couldn't stop talking about it the next day!

Next we headed to Chuck E Cheese - Meredith showed Daddy her favorite games and rides from her first trip and he had so much fun winning tickets for Meredith at Skee Ball and Basketball, too. Meredith picked out every green prize that was available in her ticket range (since she is obsessed with green).

We also tested out the new Ft Worth Science and History museum, which was a huge hit with everyone! They have a great interactive kid area where both girls could have spent an entire day! Neal took Meredith to the Planetarium and we all went to see an iMax show, called Anamalopolis. Meredith was so beat from all the earlier fun, she was out within a few minutes, but Jillian sat up and watched every bit of it, she was absolutely mesmorized. Unfortunatly, I was charging my camera battery and left it on the charger, so no pictures, but I promise it was lots of fun!

Today, Neal and I had some time for just us to head to do some Christmas shopping and to see a movie - what fun for a Tuesday morning! I am so sad that his vacation is over because we all had so much fun!

Both girls loved all the big fun activities, but really, they seemed to really enjoy getting to do little things, too. Meredith almost seemed as excited about getting to eat breakfast with Daddy and having him take her to school everyday - I know she will miss that in the next few days, so now we will just count down the days until he is home with us for Christmas.

Jillian is 7 months old

It is so hard to believe that another month has flown by! Jillian's newest trick is all of her babbling! She constantly says "DaDa" (not necessarily toward Neal, but he is always excited when she does say it in his direction!), and even though that is her favorite, I did hear "MaMa" a couple of times, too.

She is as busy as ever - a constant ball of wiggles and loving to creep all over the floor after any toy or scrap of paper she can find. We are definitely working on how to keep both Meredith and Jillian happy as Jillian may happen to reach out for something Meredith was interested in or vice versa. She is also loving to eat real food - we have added in fruits now, but anytime you pull one of those little containers out of the pantry, her little legs go crazy! She also has fallen in love with baby dolls and other babies in general. She basically attacks all of her "friends" (that all happen to be boys) with huge slobbery kisses and does the same to all of Meredith's baby dolls.

We are all loving having this little girl in our lives, she is such a perfect addition to our family!

Here are my sweet sisters sharing a music box at Gigi's.

Aren't these outfits too cute! It isn't too clear in the picture but Meredith's is monogrammed with a big M and Jillian's a big J, of course!

Go Dragons!

This Saturday night, the whole Geurin family headed out to support our favorite Dragon, PJ, as his team won a fantastic HS football game. The game was at the Cowboys stadium so that was so fun to check it out! Meredith loved getting to go back and forth with Landon between the four parents and Gigi and Papa who sat down by the Sook family. We dined on the most expensive hot dogs ever, but loved every minute of it!
