Stay at Home Daddy Week

This past week our whole family has been blessed by Neal being able to take an extended Thanksgiving break, and because Neal wanted to really experience day-to-day life with us, he planned out fun activities to fill our days together. We started off with an activity he was so excited to tackle with Meredith - an overnight campout in a homemade tent! They hung sheets from our TV, so they hung out all night watching movies and eating cookies, then slept through the night in the tent. Meredith couldn't stop talking about it the next day!

Next we headed to Chuck E Cheese - Meredith showed Daddy her favorite games and rides from her first trip and he had so much fun winning tickets for Meredith at Skee Ball and Basketball, too. Meredith picked out every green prize that was available in her ticket range (since she is obsessed with green).

We also tested out the new Ft Worth Science and History museum, which was a huge hit with everyone! They have a great interactive kid area where both girls could have spent an entire day! Neal took Meredith to the Planetarium and we all went to see an iMax show, called Anamalopolis. Meredith was so beat from all the earlier fun, she was out within a few minutes, but Jillian sat up and watched every bit of it, she was absolutely mesmorized. Unfortunatly, I was charging my camera battery and left it on the charger, so no pictures, but I promise it was lots of fun!

Today, Neal and I had some time for just us to head to do some Christmas shopping and to see a movie - what fun for a Tuesday morning! I am so sad that his vacation is over because we all had so much fun!

Both girls loved all the big fun activities, but really, they seemed to really enjoy getting to do little things, too. Meredith almost seemed as excited about getting to eat breakfast with Daddy and having him take her to school everyday - I know she will miss that in the next few days, so now we will just count down the days until he is home with us for Christmas.
