Groupies

This summer the Levitt Pavilion has a concert series that includes fun kids concerts on Wednesdays. We headed out to the first one this week to see David Chicken do his thing. Besides being incredibly toasty, we all had a blast!

They invited kids onto the stage and lucky for me, Meredith got to go up during a "dance with your grown up song"

This is what I believe the two of us looked like most of the time....me, trying to do what David Chicken does and Meredith looking at the back of the stage or wherever else.

But we do make a couple of good monkeys!

The big finale was doing the Chicken Dance, which was a big hit!

It was such a fun morning - Meredith was super excited to even get an autographed picture of David Chicken! They announced at the end of the concert that they were doing an encore that night and Meredith begged to bring Daddy back. She talked about it all day, called Daddy to prep him, and couldn't wait! We packed up a picnic dinner and met Neal back out there, only to learn that the concert was canceled due to lightning. Meredith was broken-hearted. Luckily, promising her an indoor picnic in front of a Rangers game on TV pepped her up a bit.
