I wish it was Christmas vacation all year long...

We had such a great Christmas break! Neal was off for about 2 weeks and we really just enjoyed hanging out as a family and doing fun stuff! On top of going to see a couple of movies, eating out a few times, and just other time with friends and family, some of the highlights were...

-Going to see the Prairie Lights which we have gotten to do for several years - there are just a ton of lights in a park that are all different scenes. The girls love all the lights but then when you get to the middle of the drive, you get to get out and play!
The super-sonic jungle carousel. Seriously you have to hold on!
Maybe get your daddy to hold you on too!
There was also some impromptu dancing with Daddy followed by cotton candy and hot chocolate. Not sure when everyone went to bed that night! :)

-Another highlight of Christmas was our two trips to Six Flags Holiday in the Park. Jillian has been begging to go on "the scarrrrrry river" (which is the Yosemite Sam ride for anyone who knows the park well.) She has been talking for months about the bunny in the closet (which is how I even figured out what she was talking about although I remembered no closet). Well, we rode - and yes, there is Bugs Bunny, coming out of a door about half-way through. She was thrilled - and now talks about how "Misser Troll had to go in the cage." Meredith is not as big of a fan, but she went along with it after some convincing! We also got to go down the snow hill. Meredith loved it, Jillian was fine until it was our turn. Then she cried the whole way down! She must have had some fun, though, because she went down the next time we went back! The first time, we also got to hang out with Santa and his Reindeer.

-Meredith and Neal had a fun day where they went ice skating and Meredith got to use a Build-a-Bear gift card she had been saving. Sadly, Jillian had a doctor's appointment, but I am so glad Neal and Meredith had a fun day to themselves!
The newest addition to our family, Brownie White.

-We got to go caroling with my parent's neighborhood which the girls loved! There was lots of Jingle Bells and a ton of Jillian begging for "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas!"

-My mom and I decided at the last minute to take the girls up to the American Girl store for lunch one day and even let Rebecca get her hair done - my girls were in heaven!
Showing off Rebecca's new cool braids!
