Vacation Bible School Fun

Last week we had a busy week at Vacation Bible School. Meredith loved her class and learning about Jesus everyday. Jillian is going through a protesting church phase and this week was no different. She would attach herself to my leg each morning and then cry when I removed her to drop her off. After the first morning, she would just keep repeating, "Don't want to church. Don't want to friends." Of course, when I would pick her up, she would tell me she had fun and tell me her favorite things. So, go figure! On Wednesday night, the church hosted a fun night of games followed by a concert at the Levitt Pavilion featuring the Biscuit Brothers. We've loved going to these concerts, so we were excited to get to have such a fun night!

Our first stop was the dunking booth! Mr. David is our Children's Minister and he was up. He and Meredith share a special bond because one of her favorite treats is when Mr. David takes her from helping in our Sunday School room down to her room on Sunday mornings. He takes her "Super secret back ways" that she thinks is the greatest thing ever. So, when we found out he was the dunkee - Meredith could not wait! She got close to the target, but not quite close enough....luckily Mr. David is a great sport and let her just hit the target after. And then also let Jillian, too. The girls thought this was fantastic! They both talked about it all night!

After some hot dogs and a little bounce-housing it was time for the Biscuit Brothers, who were so much fun!
Pre-show dancing snacks and warm-up.

Dancing sisters! Jillian loved this concert - she sometimes gets upset by "characters" - which these guys were not, but she was still all about going up to them when they interacted with the audience and even gave one of the biscuits a high-five.

Then it was time to be silly with Daddy!
