A few weeks ago, we went on a fantastic getaway from the Texas heat to Angelfire, New Mexico with Neal's parents. They rented a wonderful house on the mountain that had plenty of room for us, so we packed up the cars and hit the road for Jillian's first road trip! We were a little worried about how she would do, but like always, she was a breeze! We stayed the night in Amarillo to break up the trip, which made it even easier, but we really couldn't have asked for two better little travelers. Neal and I did get to experience the stereotypical road trip conversation of "are we there yet?" with a little flair- once we hit the end of our street, Meredith said "Where are the mountains?"
As soon as we got into town, we headed right up to ski lift so we could take the girls to the top of the mountain. This was really an open four-person lift, so I was a little nervous about what Meredith would think. Neal started calling them the "Super Chairs" so she was super excited and had so much fun! She was not scared at all! I had Jillian in a wrap carrier on my belly, so she was nice and secure.
