Pantego at Christmas

A highlight of putting up our Christmas lights is that we always plan to do it when Pantego has their annual Candy Train and Christmas event at the park. Which means as we are finishing up the lights, Santa stops by our house riding on a Firetruck. He brings all the kids candy and then heads to the park for the Christmas tree lighting and other fun!

The girls were quite anxious for Santa to come by!

Maybe silly faces will help pass the time

He finally made it!
Santa gave Meredith her treat and showed her his magical finger that lights up when he touches your nose
Jillian was slow to walk over to Santa, but was still excited to get her treats!
We left a little early to make sure we got to the park in time for the tree lighting - the kids pull the rope that lights up the park for the year, which is a huge hit, so we wanted to make sure we got a good place on the rope. We were getting out of our car about 15 min early, only to hear them tell everyone to get their spot and started counting down! Neal scooped up Meredith and we RAN to get there just in time for the girls to do their part in lighting up the park!
Just in time to pull the rope!
Jillian loved being in on the action too!
I was trying to get a picture of Jillian's cute kitty hat and gloves, but wasn't really successful. She loves them though, so I am thinking we might see them again! She just pets her hand and meows!
And we had the opportunity to hang with Santa a little more
And ride the train, too! So much fun!
