A Hui Hoa

Everywhere we went throughout our time in Hawaii, the locals were so eager to teach us their culture.  One of their favorite things to teach everyone was the phrase A Hui Hoa, which means "until we meet again." They say that they never really say good-bye because they believe you are family and that you will return.  So, we heard lots of this greeting as we disembarked from the cruise. Luckily for us, our flight home didn't leave until 8pm, so we had time to get in a little more fun!  We scheduled a tour of the island to fill our day and it helped to round out our experience in Honolulu!

Our first stop was the Dole plantation.
Pineapples and I were pretty tight on this trip!
Trying out the signature Dole Whip

After the plantation, we took a scenic drive and stopped at several beautiful beaches

Then we got to have lunch at Kualoa Ranch - beautiful scenery made up for a not so fantastic lunch!

And then more stops at overlooks and beaches...

We even got to go back to Hanuama Bay one more time!
And we had a rainbow greet us at the airport to send us on home!
We had the most amazing trip of our lives, but I sure was ready to get home to these two sweet girls - they had even come in and decorated the house to welcome us home!
